Ross Graphic/Bonnie Ross has 30 years of experience in illustration and graphic design. Ross, a native Nova Scotian, studied illustration at NSCAD in Halifax and in New York. Clients include various government agencies, graphic design firms and advertising firms across North America. She has also worked with the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, Parks Canada, Canada Post and the world renowned design firm of Aldrich Pears Associates on various projects where a focus on perfection and attention to detail is required. Ross has illustrated numerous stamps for Canada Post, one of the most recognizable being the “Roadside Attractions” series where she was commissioned to create 12 oil paintings. She often receives requests from the Royal Canadian Mint to design collector and circulation coins. Several of the coins exist as limited edition, solid gold commemorative pieces and are highly valued by collectors. One of her latest circulation coin designs is a two dollar piece depicting the role of the “HMS Shannon", part of a series she was commissioned to design in commemoration of the War of 1812.
